The Aft Stateroom will require a climb up or down to the bedroom using a few mountain scrambling techniques. The Forward Stateroom has a bed that is a bit longer for taller guests and is easier to get to. The living area has a bar with wine glasses, antique furnishings, and couches and chairs for relaxing. There is also a mini television in one of the rooms. Someone not only decorated the rooms elegantly, but showed a sense of humor with hangers for the bathrobes that have dog and cat heads on them.

Up on deck, guests can lounge in sun chairs and read, watch the water, or pretend they own the boat while watching poor unfortunate landlubbers walk by. Breakfast is served outside on deck when the weather is nice. Because the boat is in the marina, there is little rocking even in winter storms. The "Slow Season" is docked within walking distance of Friday Harbor shops and restaurants, as well as the ferry landing, thus making it a good destination for those who come to the island without a car.

The Wharfside is the only floating Bed and Breakfast on San Juan Island. The "Slow Season" is fully seaworthy and if guests call in advance, they can enjoy a short sunset cruise.
