San Juan County
4362 Crow Valley Road
Located at the junction of the Crow Valley Road, Deer Harbor Road and the Horseshoe Highway, the Kingfish Inn comprises a significant majority of the sleepy town of West Sound. Fortunately, being situated at such a crossroads doesn’t mean high-volume traffic--there’s barely enough here to support a lemonade stand. As with all good B&Bs, your stay at Kingfish Inn is guaranteed to be a peaceful one.
The Kingfish is operated out of a modern building overlooking the Westsound Harbor. Each of the four units has a unique floor plan, with light and bright rooms with a view over Westsound Harbor. Woodstoves, antique furniture and tasteful décor round out these quaint rooms. The downstairs unit next to the café also has a separate sun deck with a view of the marina and sound.
A short walk down to the harbor brings visitors to a small creek that feeds into the bay and a gravel beach. Low tide offers the mildly adventurous a view of hundreds of oysters crusted under the cement bridge, as well as a beach alive with sea life. If you’re in search of more marine vistas, Deer Harbor is also a short drive away.
Often times, the "Breakfast" part of Bed and Breakfast somehow gets forgotten but that is not the case at the Kingfish Inn. As a matter of fact, it might be the best B&B breakfast you will come across. Patrons are invited to select any of the full meals from West Sound Café downstairs including huevos rancheros, buttermilk waffles with marionberry butter and maple syrup, and of course, farm fresh eggs.
From the ferry, take the Horseshoe Highway for about 2.5 miles to Deer Harbor Road. The B & B is about a half-mile ahead on the corner of Deer Harbor and Crow Valley roads.
